A member asked:

Do annovulatory cycles cause less bleeding than ovulatory when you get your period? i didnt ovulate this cycle and now i only see blood when i wipe

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovulation gaps ?: Anovulatory cycles usually have no bleeding associated unless there have been multiple anovulatory cycles , allowing thickening of the lining of the womb due to continued estrogen production without ovulation, and breakdown of the lining cells. Fibroid tumors and polyps can also cause bleeding, so see your gyn physician if this continues.
