Yes..but..: Any person with a suppressed immune system may receive a muted response to either vaccine, but they do provide a benefit. Given your increased risk with age and chronic illness from either condition it would be a good idea. The live (nasal) flu vaccine should be avoided but the inactivated injection is safe. I would consult your treating physician to be sure they concur with their use.
