White matter: These changes are considered nonspecific as they are found in various conditions like cerebral vascular disease, cardiovascular diseases,dementia, multiple sclerosis,major psychiatric disorders, increased intracranial pressure and certain inflammatory/autoimmune diseases. Your physician or neurologist,who knows you best, can best advise you of the significance of these findings on your MRI.
