Many causes: Stress, diet, too much exercise, medications.menopause, pregnancy, uterine polyps or fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian insufficiency, cervical or ovarian cancer are some other causes.I would order the basic labs cbc, cmp, tsh, iron level, pregnancy tesras well as fsh,lh,testosterone, estrogen to start with as well as make sure pap up to date. Then also a pelvic ultrasound.
