I had a subtotal gastrectomy around four weeks ago and ive noticed red bumps around my incision that are itchy. any reason why this could be?

Infection/irritation: Either of these could cause some irritation of the skin near the incision. some people are irritated by the ointment, dressing or tape. Were these there when you had your post op check with your surgeon? If so did they comment on them. IF you have not had your post op check you should have one. If you did have one, maybe you should call and ask them. Your surgeon should be aware of this.
