Uterine polyp: You may call your Gynecolgist and comfirm you heard the description correctly becauset that is not a term generally used to describe a polyp. Polyps are overgrowths of the lining of the uterus. Generally they are benign (your gynecologist can asses your risks for cancer) but can cause abnormal bleeding. Sounds like you need to re-discuss this with your doctor.
