I am unable to breathe properly, i can only take weak and shallow breaths, and i experience wheezing when i try to force a deep breath or breathe through my mouth. its been going on for more than 24 hours now. what could be the cause?

Need to be examined: This can be infectious or mechanical. Some with asthma will experience these symptoms as will some with infections that trigger wheezing & pain. This is not something that wil pass without treatment. Go in immediately.

Urgent visit: Please see a physician right away. Take two puffs of Albuterol inhaler, if you have this medication at home. Wheezing has many causes, and you should see your physician for further assessment.
