The yellowish: drainage is not related to the back pain. It is coincidental. X-rays for back pain are usually not revealing. It in no way means the pain is not real, it simply means that there is no skeletal abnormality as the causation. Most back pain is muscular in origin and responds to physical therapy if you have a good therapist who will work with you. I would recommend starting there.
