Could you tell me how much drinking alcohol does it take to damage the liver?

It depends: Alcohol is toxic to the liver. But liver has good reserve, so 1 or 2 drinks a day is the maximum allowed. Anything more can cause alcohlic hepatitis which over some years can lead to cirrhosis(scarred liver) or liver cancer.
