A member asked:

I had a long island iced tea and when i took drinks, right cheek/jaw by ear stung, went away immediately after drinking.very rare.no other issues. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Saliva-flow related.: The drink (if acidic) probably stimulated secretion of saliva. When the saliva duct or its opening is narrow (due to scarring or a small stone), there might be pain during an outpouring of saliva. It could be an entirely normal phenomenon as well.
