First GP, then Obs: Let your GP know. Only few are still doing deliveries, if he or she does not they will refer you to a Obs-gyn specialist. Start taking folic acid.

Best to see an: obstetrician/gynecologist as they are specialists in the field. As previously stated, very few general doctors still do deliveries. You also should have a full physical with an internist or family doctor as it is important to ensure your health to have a healthy pregnancy.
