... swelling from...: 39 y/o says I have a lump the size of a pea that I woke up with this morning under my armpit- What could this be? Could be one of several things, most of them benign. Arm pit has lots of hair and could be Infected/inflamed Follicle (Folliculitis).Small Lymph-node swelling from scratching or Shaving can also cause it. If tender warm compress usually helps. If getting bigger see PCP to check it out
