See below: The lump can be do to the trauma that caused the bruise. I would not be concerned, unless your son starts developing bruises without trauma.

Agree with Dr. L: You can watch and wait. If the lump more than doubles in size, ulcerates, starts hurting, more lumps develop, or the child gets fever, see a doctor.
