A member asked:

Are there immune disorders after receiving chemo that will cause frequent illness (coughing attacks, chest discomfort, fatigue, sweats)? or other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chemo: People on chemotherapy have weakened immune systems and sometimes develop infections caused by uncommon pathogens that don't infect people with healthy immune systems. Any fever, sweats, chills, persistent cough should be reported promptly to your physician or oncologist and investigated.
