A member asked:

Florinef & high salt x5 years for hypotension. worked great.over the past week, entire body edema so skipped dose & lowered salt.why the sudden change?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Salt, water retention: If edema is a drastic change concerns for underactive thyroid, cardiac, kidney or liver disease, low serum albumin are raised. Hot temperatures, other salt and fluid retainer medications like anti-inflammatory medication(Advil,Aleve) cortisone are other factors that may or may not apply to you. Has your bp risen? See your MD if edema persists.
