Continue the full : course of treatment to be sure the lining of the uterus gets completely reset to a thinner layer, in most cases. Discuss with your doctor to sure, as each case can vary as to goals of the treatment.

Spotting and Crampin: are normal early side effects of Provera therapy. Follow your MD's instructions for several "cycles" and follow-up as directed. Hope this is helpful! Dr Z

PCOS ?: PCOS results usually in lack of ovulation, and persistent production of estrogen. Prolonged exposure to estrogen can cause abnormalities in the uterine lining, and lead to hyperplasia or more serious diagnoses later in life. Control of this is best accomplished by low dose oral contraceptives, which stop ovarian estrogen production and evolution of preceding issues mentioned.
