My obgyn says it's necessary that i change my birth plan to c section because i belong to gbs+ even of i will be getting antibiotics... is it important to opt for c section because of it?

Cesarean Section ?: Being GBS positive is not a reason to have a C/S instead of a vaginal delivery. Streptococcal infections are susceptible to antibiotics and the appropriate one with demonstrated sensitivity will be effective. C/S's have operative risks for both mother and infant, and are not generally performed for GBS+ mothers as the exclusive reason for a C/S.
