Dental Crowns: Dental crowns can be fabricated with a number of different materials: all metal, porcelain fused to metal, and all porcelain. Obviously, an all metal crown is not prone to fracture. Can anyone see your molar when you smile? Possibly, but maybe not. How tall is the tooth? How much clearance for material? What will make you happy? Appearance or longevity? Discuss with your dentist.
