A member asked:

How to ease gas on a high fibre diet?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Trial/Error: Increased gas (flatulence) is a common side effect. Gas occurs because bacteria in colon produce gas as a by-product .Since bacteria vary in their ability to digest different types of fiber Which include psyllium seed, fruits vegtables, oat bran, synthetic cellulose (methyl cellulose), and calcium polycarbophil. Therefore try different types of fiber to add slowly and plenty of water.
