A member asked:

How can you do to get my blood pressure down to normal range?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Treatment: First we try lifestyle changes such as weight reduction, salt, alcohol, caffeine reduction, regular exercise if able, stress reduction. If bp remains over 140/90, medication will be prescribed. Treatment goal is 120/80 which is ideal. Under 140/89 is important to avoid long term complications of hypertension. Treadmill stress test advised. These are guidelines, but your physician will guide you best.
