Mucus in throat: The source of your mucus is post nasal drainage from your sinus tissues. Sinus lining may react or overreact to many different triggers and will cause mucus drainage. If you are bothered by this would suggest getting a nasal saline rinse or lavage and start rinsing with saline solution daily
