Last week the doctor said i had middle ear infection and gave me antibiotics. my sore throat went away and returned yesterday where i struggle a lot to swallow food and water or saliva. i also have swollen gland by my neck again. what could be wrong?

Possibilities: Middle ear infections may/not require antibiotics as do throat infections. If you had test proven strep & it was treated with a penicillin based med, but persist with symptoms you may have mono or other co-infection. You could also have a treatment failure if the med was not taken long enough or the germ was resistant. Contact the doc.
