A member asked:

Are there any interactions with ginkgo biloba and folic acid? would this cause seizures? ive read that when combined these two can cause seizures....

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Folic acid inhibits : Folic acid and Ginco using matabic pathways of many other drugs& herbs . Folic acod May inhibit availability ( antagonise effect ) of anti seizure drugs . Alone doesn’t cause seizures. Ginco interacts with several cytochrome P450 which are used as metabolic pathways of many drugs as anti seizure... Consult your MD before taking any supplements if you also take prescription medication.
