A member asked:

I always worry about my bp. when i take it i have an anxiety response and my hr goes slightly over 100 (normal 60-65). the numbers i get are usually 120s/80s. should i worry about the bp at all since the numbers are ok even with the anxiety response?

Anxiety: Your blood pressure is perfectly normal even during the anxiety reaction while taking it. I still recommend monitoring yourself periodically mainly to eventually overcome that anxiety reaction. Would you relax more if someone else took your BP? Does your heart rate go up frequently from other stimuli? If so, stress management coaching or therapy should help.
