Options: Several options exist. Expert advice needed re risk of heart attack/death. Treating plaque with angioplasty/stent or bypass is likely to address symptoms of chest pain. Medical treatment may also be effective. Advice of cardiologist or heart surgeon needed re assess relative benefits in a specific case. Depends: So with both the right coronary as well as the marginal obtuse which is off the circumflex are 90% blocked,it depends on whether they can be stented and if there are collaterals. The cardiologist should be able to tell you that.If they can not be stented, they may well do a bypass.Regardless if he smokes he must stop and the cholesterol must be kept low and needs cardiac rehab after.
