A member asked:

Could poor circulation cause small fiber neuropathy in legs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neuropathy: Blockages of leg arteries cause calf pain on walking and, in advanced cases, may cause coldness and numbness of feet and toes. These symptoms may be confused with peripheral neuropathy but the nerve damage is caused by lack of proper blood flow which is a somewhat different mechanism than the processes that cause peripheral neuropathy like vitamin B 12 deficiency, diabetes or alcohol abuse.
