Nerves and temps: Neuropathy can cause a change in the perception of temperature. Many people feel a sense of burning for example. The skin may also not detect temperature changes and it may not react to ambient temperatures in the same manner as skin that is not affected by neuropathy. at some centers, there is a sweat test to help measure this phenomenon.
