Likely viral: This event so long ago was likely one of many viral illnesses you have had over your lifetime. It might have be possible to label it at the time with blood tests taken during and a month after recovery, but not now. Since you recovered & whoever cared for you at the time didn't pursue it it will remain an unknown. I would not lose any sleep over it.
