Probable hormonal: It is unusual to have a true fever during a menses but not uncommon to have hot flashes and sensitivity in warm environs. This is often called PMS. The culprit is hormonal changes and diminished estrogen, most likely. Normal control of your cycle with birth control pills typically will resolve this as well other options. If you have a true fever greater than 100.4 there may be an infection.
