12w pregnant : Bleeding at "12 weeks" of pregnancy is unusual, and may be due to inadequate progesterone production by the placenta. Consult your OB provider to see if added progesterone orally might be indicated to guard against miscarriage. Sometimes when the ovary stops making progesterone at about 8-10 weeks, the placenta is not quite "ready" to assume this task.

Watch and wait: Spotting in early pregnancy is not uncommon. If you bleeding increases or you get cramps, see your doctor. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
