No really OK: If you are having uterine cramping at 16 weeks of pregnancy, it may be an indication that something is not right. Dehydration and infection are common causes of preterm contractions. Try drinking a lot of water and laying down to rest, if the cramping continues, you should be evaluated by a doctor.
