Loose Adult Tooth: Yes you should see a dentist promptly. If the root (blood supply and nerve) are still intact the tooth may be stabilized and saved.

Yes: Permanent teeth in a 9 year old should not be loose. Pain is never acceptable. Urgent that you see your child's General Dentist or a pediatric dental specialist, a Pedodontist, immediately.
