Dr. William Goldie answered

Ask for help: Talking to a good listener is important. Talking about or writing about your feelings really helps. Try to avoid treating yourself with alcohol or sleep pills. Keep busy, try to sleep well, eat healthy, and reasonable excercise. Depression is common and appropriate most of the time. The fact that you ask suggests your type will be easy to manage.
