Very unlikely: Aids can be transferred this way, but you would need to have an open wound, and the spitter would have to have fulminate active aids. There have been recorded cases where one partner with aids and another share a toothbrush and there has not been documented transmission. Although unlikely there is always a possibility. I have been an ER physician for 25 years and do not worry about saliva.
