Checkup: That's easy. Ask friends or colleagues to tell you about their primary care doctor and go to one that sounds good to you. Tell him/her what you want and the doc will take it from there. Peace and good health.

Find doc/schedule: The basic answer is you find a doctor who is available either on your insurers website, their website or in the phone book. You contact the office staff and learn their procedure for scheduling a visit & do so. Be clear when you schedule that you would be a new patient & why you want to be seen. It would be common for there to be a typical waiting period for such a visit.
