Yes: You can have nevi anywhere on the body. It is important to watch for changes, however, because melanoma can also occur anywhere on the body (not just sun-exposed areas!). The ABCDE criteria (asymmetry, border irregularity, color variegation (multiple colors), diameter > 6 mm, and evolution) are often used to distinguish nevi from melanomas in adults.
