A member asked:

I have a hidradenitis suppurativa cyst on my vulva. normally i use neosporin and a bandage after it bursts, but how do i treat it in this situation?

See below: If you have had earlier episodes of hyderadenitis suppurativa, you need to be evaluated for a cause. Diabetes and obesity are two common predisposing causes. For the lesion on the vulva you may use neosporin ointment without bandage. It is imperative that you see a doctor for evaluation for the underlying cause. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
