Cut the bottom of my heel open on namibian beach and cant get all the sand out after cleaning it. i used alcohol antiseptic and antibiotic ointment + band aids (i have more). had tetanus booster in 2012. here for three more days. what should i do?

Heel: You are right to be very careful with such a wound and you've started proper treatment. If you can't get to a clinic,minimize stress on that heel. Arrange comfortable padding. Switch to sterile gauze after warm soaks,patting dry,apply the antibiotic ointment,fix gauze with paper tape.White Sox.. Observe for pain,swelling,spreading redness,or pus formation which would require medical attention.
