Trazodone: Trazodone is in an old class of antidepressant medication called a tricyclic antidepressants (TCA). Now a days, it is most often used to help with sleep because it has the side effect of being very sedating. There would be many side effects if doses that were therapeutic to treat depression were used - thus, it usually isn't used for the antidepressant function any more.
