Multi-purpose: Like several others - this drug is being used in many cases - the ones you mention are #1 & #2. But anxiety is another and some pain disorders too. I think you are right to have questions. Ask your providers until you feel satisfied about any confusion - also about how long and how hard to stop, interactions and side efx. Best wishes!
