The swallow tube: Your swallow tube enters the stomach just behind & under the position of the heart. Irritation from the backwash of stomach acid is a common cause of such symptoms. An antacid tablet may give you transient relief. If it is bothering you enough you should explore the issue. There are more powerful treatments available.
