A member asked:

What is the best treatment for non albicans vaginal yeast infection that is resistant to "azole" treatments and recurs with menstruation?

Yeast infections ?: Yeast (fungal) infections are usually responsive to "azole" types of remedies. If your partner is not circumcised, sexual relations can cause persistent re-infections, which will appear to be "constant", but treatment of the male may be successful. Your gyn provider should indicate his/her preference for escalated fungal treatments if necessary.

Yeast identification: Your doctor should be able to run a yeast culture to determine what specific yeast you have. Then they should be able to identify which medication would one the most effective against that specific pathogen.
