Who is old?: Many say 75 is not too old these days. We usually stop screening for colon cancer at age 75 here in the US. But, that does not mean that a 79-year old who has many years to go would not benefit from the results of a colonoscopy. There are always risks of colonoscopy for everyone and certainly, if the risk is greater than the benefit then it would not be a good idea. Speak to your doctor.
