Slow heart rate: A resting heart rate near 50 and upper of 70 with exercise is considered too slow. Some athletic individuals will have testing heart near 50. If there are symptoms with the slow heart rate or with exercise and not enough heart rate increase, then that is concerning. You should be evaluated by a pediatric cardiologist or electrophysiologist.
