Folliculitis: For recurrent folliculitis, you can attempt decolonization of the bacteria on the skin. After a course of antibiotics, you can use a combination of hibiclens- wash 1-2 times per week and use mupirocin ointment twice a day to the inner nostril and under the finger nails. I agree with seeing your physician for evaluation.

Beard folliculitis: Wash your face twice daily with an antibacterial soap. Use a clean towel each time and pat face dry. Shave with an electric shaver. Shave in direction of hairs. Sterilize shaver after use. If red bumps and pimples are present a course of an antistaphyloccoal antibiotic like dicloxacillin(if you're not allergic to penicillin) should help. Discuss with your MD. See a dermatologist as needed.
