Death and Taxes: The two things guaranteed in life are death and taxes. That being said, the chance of your face changing shape is virtually zero. I'm not sure of which tooth you are asking about, how many other teeth may be missing, your bite, etc, etc. Replacement of a missing tooth will help prevent the remaining teeth from shifting and provide you with addition chewing power and esthetics.

Guarantee? No: But it significantly reduces the chance of any change. It's your best alternative. If the tooth that is being replaced was infected, it may not be possible to place an immediate implant, but that you can discuss with your Dentist. Go looking for quality care, not for bargain care. Remember, the longer you put off treatment the less favorable the prognosis.
