Alcohol ?: I assume you are speaking of drinking alcohol. This depends on what you drink. Pure grain alcohols do not affect the glycemic index if you do not use a mix. Drinking them straight, with water, or club soda will not affect the glycemic index. Low carb beer is acceptable if your diabetes is controlled (in moderation of course) and the carb content remains within your maximal total daily intake.
