Gas: You may be more comfortable by preventing excess gas formation by taking simethicone 1/2 hour after meals. Also avoid forcing yourself to belch which only causes more gas by swallowing air. Of course avoiding gassy foods and avoiding drinking carbonated beverages during meals also reduce gas formation. Drinking hot water helps move gas down through the intestinal tract where it should be passed.
