My shampoo contains phosphoric acid in it, and the shampoo goes into my eyes sometimes. can it make me blind? or damage my eyes?

Prob.No! PA added to: many products to adjust pH (acid/base balance) of the water solution; to be less basic. Neutral water = pH 7.0; meaning one in every 10 million water molecules is separated into two seperate ions, an H+ & an OH-. pH focuses on the protons (H+). Base 10 logarithm of 1/10 million = 10 to the -7 power. The minus sign is dropped ("understood") so called 7.0. So pH 6.0 = 1/million; 8.0 = 1/100 milion.

Phosphoric acid: It may reassure you to know that phosphoric acid is a component of the popular beverage Coca Cola. That being said, I wouldn't leave it in my eyes as Coke or shampoo. Rinse it out.
