Creatinine ratio: It is reassuring to know that your creatinine level is normal, but that is only one measure of kidney function. It is important with your history of hypertension to make sure your kidneys are working well. There are other tests, including a urine test for microalbumen that can help with this assessment. Check with your doctor to see if other kidney tests have been done and to discuss the results.

BUN of 10 with creatinine of 1.05 year ago BUN of 12 creatinine .89. Now have low bun/creatine level and GFR of 58. Urine and all other lab's normal.
